Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is generally used to fertilise frozen eggs.

If you use your eggs with a male partner who has a fertility problem, ICSI can also help improve your chances of having a baby.

From what we know, children born using ICSI have a slightly higher chance of birth abnormalities compared to children born naturally. However, this may be because of the reason ICSI is used (e.g. to treat a fertility problem), rather than the procedure itself.
