Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection ( ICSI ) is generally used to fertilise frozen eggs.

If you use your eggs with a male partner who has a fertility problem, ICSI can also help improve your chances of having a baby.

From what we currently know, children born using ICSI have a slightly higher chance of birth abnormalities compared to children born naturally. However, this difference may relate to the reason why ICSI is used (e.g. to treat fertility problems) rather than the procedure itself.
