By accessing or using the Decision Aid, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, you should not use the Decision Aid.

The Decision Aid and the material provided on this website have been prepared by:

  • The Royal Women’s Hospital
  • other collaborating universities, hospitals, research institutes, and organisations, including the other authors listed in the “Authors” tab on this website

(together, the Authors).

References in these Terms of Use to the Authors include, where the context permits, their officers, employees, contractors, and individual contributors.

2. Purpose of the Decision Aid – no medical advice

The Decision Aid is an educational tool designed to provide general information about egg freezing and to help you reflect on your own values and preferences.

The information on this website is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It:

  • does not constitute medical, professional, or legal advice;
  • has not been tailored to your individual circumstances; and
  • must not be relied on as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified health professional.

You should always seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional about your own circumstances before making decisions about egg freezing or other reproductive options. Do not delay seeking professional advice, or disregard it, because of something you have read on this website.

The Decision Aid is not intended for use in emergencies. If you need urgent medical assistance, contact your local emergency services or health provider immediately.

Use of the Decision Aid and this website does not create a doctor–patient or other clinical relationship between you and any of the Authors.

3. Eligibility, age and location

The Decision Aid is primarily intended for use by adults located in Australia.

  • By using this website, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are using this website with the involvement and supervision of a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult.
  • If you are under 18, you should discuss any questions or concerns about egg freezing or other reproductive options with a qualified health professional.
